Which looks better: 1) tier 1 undergrad, mediocre work experience after college 2) average undergrad, equally mediocre work experience after college Would adcoms view (1) unfavorably since they could have landed a good role after college but didnt? I know everyone has their reasons for picking certain roles, but trying to understand how adcoms will view it especially if theres no obvious explanation e.g. going to no-name IB or consulting after college, audit, etc
Hey all, I'm *very* interested in working at Stripe, but there is one line in the culture doc that gives me pause."But working here will mean some late nights, some weekends, and (especially if you end up in a position of significant responsibility) paying attention to email even during off-hours." What do you think?
Is anybody seeing job offers rescinded or hiring freeze because of the current market turmoil?
Anyone hiring mid level Art Directors in NY?
Been in a PR Coordinator position for two years now and feeling discouraged about no promotion or raise. I was ready for a promotion, but COVID happened and now it’s on hold. I’m looking elsewhere but obviously the job market’s not booming. Any encouraging words of advice?

How are Deloitte exit opportunities as a manager in the Operations Transformation group? Is it viewed as tactical and entirely operational, or still as a strategic partner for F500 leadership
I’ve been in Consulting for 3 years and moved to Big 4 6 months back. I start thinking that it’s not for me. Too political and contradictory guidance from leadership. Seeking guidance about exit oppts
About to start a new job but have a pre-planned 2.5 week vacation for end on September. Feeling a bit uneasy about taking such a long break so early into a new position.... will they think I’m lazy and immediately get a red flag? I know it’s long but I haven’t taken vaca all year!
How much does a partner referral help for boomerangs back to Big 4 in a different practice/service line?
What are typical exit opportunities for MBB project leaders/team leaders/engagement managers?
*Advice* I recently accepted position at a 50K pay cut (covid). I shared my target salary /lateral move & at the negotiation point, they came up slightly by way of qtrly bonus structure but also outlined path for growth incl. expected salary increases at said points. Said it could be achieved in under a year. By day 4 of the new job they had accelerated to the final point in that plan without making good on title / salary. Spoke up immediately... “in discussion” 2 weeks in. Bait/switch WWUD??
Best exit opps out of MBA programs? Why is everyone so obsessed with MBB or PE? What are some other high paying opps with better WLB that are fun as well?

I have a few contacts that work at a target company. My sister is a lower-level employee there and I have a buddy who is a few levels up from her. Would love if my sister got the referral bonus but would a referral be better from a higher ranking employee? This is for FAANG.
Was approached by Accenture for a principal role. Any insight on comp? Base/total. Glassdoor gives a pretty wide range of 183-268 base...
Is it normal to take time off during your notice period? Especially if it was something you already have approval for before you resigned?
So have a job offer from delta paying 80k and a job offer at eTrade offering around 110k. I like the position at delta much more, but I like the salary at eTrade. Any suggestions ?
How's Edelman NY? Getting hit up for Health which I've never done. It'll entail moving from advertising to PR/earned creative as they call it, and the Health category. Didn't sound like hard sell pharma, quite a bit of branded video content. I searched on FB, sounded mostly negative culturally (employee fired during Pride month, political, creatives better watch their backs, climate denier) with a few who love it. Figured I'll ask if anything's changed, if it's even worth ... considering.
Which firm has the best culture right now? Work/life balance, team member relationships, willingness to push back on clients, general recognition?
Has anyone heard of EPAM systems? Is it worth to move from Deloitte to EPAM as a manager? How's company culture? Is it same as Deloitte? Or worse?
What does the title “client partner” mean — seen mostly in WITCH. Is this junior partner type role/ responsibility/ comp? Similar to Principal/ Senior Director/ Associate Partner?
Where do more boutique firms (like Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Huron, zs, slalom) rank in comparison to big 4 or Accenture or ibm? I know mbb is top tier but I feel like everyone else is debatable
Anyone in tech - how do you handle junior Dev dudes who are simultaneously green, and too arrogant to admit they don't know what they're doing / won't admit a woman might know more than them. Had a Dev on my team drop the ball significantly on a client deliverable, but keeps insisting he understands and wastes hours trying to figure out stuff on his own bc he refuses to allow me to explain it to him. If I had the time, I'd just take over and do it myself at this point, but I don't.
Mom looking for work from home opportunities. How would you go about the search? Way too burned out and need to focus time and effort. Ok with going into work 2-3x/week
