Had a first round case interview over the phone today that was supposed to last 30 minutes. After 20 minutes, the interviewer abruptly ended the call. Assuming this is a bad sign?

When I cut cases short it’s because I’ve already decided I like you and don’t want to waste my time or I’ve already decided I’m not passing you on to the next round and don’t want to waste my time. If I like you and cut the case short I generally fill the time asking questions and getting to know you better though.

Not necessarily, maybe he/she was getting crushed and you rocked it.

Could be anything - how was the interview going? Just reach out and see if they want to schedule another 30 minutes to continue the conversation

Not necessarily a bad sign
