Had a zoom callback interview , i think things went well and they said I would hear from them soon after I sent thanks yous. This was last week, how long should I wait on following up?

I need some advice. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration with 20 plus years working in different Healthcare roles. I am working as a PBM Claim Specialist. What other positions can I apply for that is fully remote and better pay? Side note I am thinking of applying to nursing school sometime later down the line. Any advice will be greatly appreciated .

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? Well, I was the one who broke it off. I couldn’t get him to love me the way I needed or even respect me enough. It’s been 6 weeks of not seeing each other. We messaged this week. He doesn’t get it…. How can I sell my 2 years of clerkship as valuable experience for corporate work? I would like to get credit for at least one year (at least in salary, if I can’t in seniority). I had to eat a lot of class years when joining big law. I didn’t go T14, didn’t get a summer job in big law, had to work my way up and finally got here. I’m at a great firm doing the exact work I like doing. Now, all around me, colleagues who graduated with me or after me are getting promoted and I’m still a long ways away. They all deserve it. But I can’t help but feel jealous and angry about the uncertainty ahead of whether I’ll make it there and how long it will take. Can anyone relate?

Serious question: what was biglaw like back in the 90s? Did ya'll have big cellphones and catered lunches? How is it different for associates back then versus now?

Completely and totally miserable at my firm and just need a space to vent because my friends are tired of hearing about it. I wish the worst part about it was the amount of work, rather than the completely toxic culture, lack of appreciation, arbitrary and back/breaking deadlines, lack of mentorship/feedback/training, and the fact that the associates act like they don’t even know each other. I cry every day and constantly am made to feel stupid for not understanding the highly technical (cont.)

How do you bill your time? The busier I am the harder it is to bill. How do people actually bill contemporaneously in detailed terms when you bill 12 hours but literally did 100 different things in those 12 hours. And it’s never slow enough to go back and do it super detailed.

I'm up for election next year. Kind of feel like I'm in Squid Game right now.
