Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

Bloody strong CV, network for referral and lots of conversation with hiring manager/ recruiters to get you noticed in the first instance. After that, strong casing and behavioural/ experience interview. Bear I mind, with 1.5 YoE you will likely start at BA level but your comp will exceed what you are on currently at Capgemini
Thank you, this is really helpful!
Did you attend top tier university and have you got any side-gig related work, big sporting/volunteering achievements etc? These all seem to help push CVs up the ranking.
Thank you, this is v v useful! I'm not too sure about top but it was fairly high up in Russel Group (5th for subject). I have a few national sporting team things which were all before uni so I'm not too sure if they carry too much weight these days - would you agree? For the side gig, what things are you thinking? I was contemplating a blog
Its hard to break into MBB or other strategy firms unless you come from Oxbridge / LSE / banking / Big 4 or ACN strategy roles. Capgemini isn’t typically a feeder to strategy firms. Maybe try an MBA to transition.
Honestly, you should try to get into FAANG in the US if you have any tech consulting or data skills. Starting total comp is $280k usd. Any tech consulting firm including Cap has a good shot. I am at AMZN and worked at D in tech consulting for 9 years. Most mbb try to exit to FAANG anyway and tech consultants actually have a better shot at those roles.
