Has any companies given their employees good raises to help with the rising costs of everything? I was a top performer and only got around 3% this last year.

Got a 3% as well, was a top performer and they told it was the best hike.

Just curious to know, what would be the % increase in case of a promotion and in case of changing job??

I had a 30% jump going to another company. It’s the easiest way in my opinion if you’re still <10 years in the industry to see massive changes to your salary. Sad, but true. Not uncommon seeing those sizeable gains amongst friends in the industry.

In my time at Liberty I’ve found that raises rarely exceed 5% and the only way to really increase your salary is via promotion or changing roles. Depending on where you fall on the pay scale, you may not even get any type of raise

like

Liberty still has geographically based salary tables for remote employees. But you still get within the range posted. It more effects you for adjustments down the road and where the min/max is for the range.

I work at a small broker with 4 YOE and got a 20% raise because the cost of living increased a lot. With another potential increase later in the year.

My LinkedIn feed was absolutely filled with layoffs today. What happened? A month or two ago it was a candidate’s market and the offers were great but now everything has shifted. Anyone else feeling bummed?

I accepted a new job, they said PTO was “generous.” I find out it’s 19 days a year of PTO (which includes sick days). I have two young children and we like to vacation 1-2x a year (no more than a few days away each time). Am I crazy that this is pretty limited time off? 8 of the normal holidays off during the year (working the week between Christmas and NYE). Thoughts? I dont know if lack of PTO is a good reason to back out, is it?
