Do GRE essay scores matter as much?
He didn't want me to leave lol

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Are you single? It is fast and easy to find some one to marry than find a job with visa sponsorship in EU
Haha no I am not
The taxes are killer in the EU
My whole team is located in Switzerland and I hear often the company helps relocate people there. They joke with me asking if I want to move there. Great company to work for.
Wow, that's actually rather incredible!
I spoke to a recruiter about this last year and it was frightening the salary disparity between US Salesforce salaries vs those across the pond 50% drops in many roles, and that's before taxes come into play. Tough to justify that when feeding a family for me
Makes no sense when you consider the fact that living costs are actually higher in Europe!
Pre recession companies were recruiting in UK and EU and sponsoring the candidates also based on strong Sfdc skill set. IMHO right now is just not a good time to make a move. Stay put till things are better would be my suggestion.
It not being a good time to move, does that count for both a US to EU and EU to US move? Hoping the climate in the US is still a little better (at consulting firms or in the industry)
Depends on where in EU !
If you can get a remote job that allows global work, Spain just released a visa a few weeks ago that will allow 5 years stay anywhere in the Schengen area
