Yep, I moved out of my apartment and now live in a rental storage unit. It’s surprisingly comfortable and only smells a bit like an old foot. You do need insurance. And bottled water.
Got it; yes, I’d say you should be able to fit your family in the rental storage unit with you, just make sure you ask for an XL otherwise it might be a bit cramped at bedtime. They have some adjoining units if your family is particularly big.
Also, forgot to mention but I recommend Flintstones Vitamin D Gummies to ward off rickets.
Yep. State Farm regular rental insurance can be extended to cover the storage unit. Was an easy 15min call for me.
Was around $25 a month. And it allowed me to wave the insurance required/offered by the storage company.
Yes. Go through a third party generally, as it’s typically less expensive.
I checked into it. However, most insurance companies will not cover more than 5,000. Check the policy closely and ask how much the payment covers.

You can get a rider. We bought $40K of insurance for about $40 a month. is gad household good from downsizing from house to apartment 1/4 the size. We still have apartment renters insurance which may have kept cost low.
