Fishes, OK so this is true. Wipro is delaying the joining by half a month due to some restrictions or organisational changes & not ready to compensate for that half a month loss of salary. Very rude & absurd behaviour from them. Hence rejecting the offer as such company if u aren't sure when to ask for joining u may revoke the offer letter later on. Hence multiple options in hand is necessary nowadays. Infosys Tata Consultancy HCL Technologies

Always negotiate. Full stop.
Yes, I negotiated base, stock and sign on bonus. Cash bonus was a fixed % of base. Other things can also key off base (espp, 401k match), so always try to max base out. A good way to negotiate is to come up with an aggressive, but reasonable, total comp range that you’d be willing to work for and then let the company move the various comp levers to make it happen.
Absolutely, the room is in the sign-on and restricted shares. Salaries are usually on a tight band.
This was my experience as well. Base was competitive and bonus was a fixed percentage, so I negotiated for a sign-on and big increase in RSUs.
I successfully negotiated base, annual bonus and RSUs.

How much did y’all manage to move the amounts?
Nice, all. I didn’t push on base (might have been band limited, but I should have tried), but went from 0 to 50 sign-on and 80 to 150 equity.
