Has anyone transited through the UK in an H1B ? Did you need a transit visa ?

It would be a dream come true for me to work in London for about 2 years before going to B school (doesn’t have to be at a big four firm either). I only have 2 YOE doing risk advisory, which I really want to get out of eventually. Is anyone willing to refer me? I’ll need to get a working visa too.
