Has anyone used Done or those other adhd services? How is it that keeping up with appointments and getting prescriptions filled for adhd is such a huge issue… the irony is just 🤦‍♀️

Maybe this is the socialist in me but shouldn’t Moderna and Pfizer waive their patent exclusivity for their Covid vaccines? Don’t we have a moral obligation for the world to vaccinate as many people as quickly as possible?

It blows my mind that many countries won’t be able to vaccinate most of their people until 2023. There should be access to vaccine generics

Hi everyone! I currently work in an outpatient setting doing individual therapy but am planning to leave my job. I have a handful of patients, some of which have been meeting with me consistently for over 2 years, that I suspect will want to remain in touch after I leave. Has anyone ever done this before? If so, what did it look like for you and the patient? Or do you advise against it and if so why? I’ve been researching this and can understand both sides of the argument. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone just taken a break from work without anything lined up? Every offer I’ve gotten wants me to start in a month and with 2 weeks notice that leaves me only 2 weeks to recharge. For my mental health I really think I need an extended break (like 3 months). I have about 60k liquid to sustain myself and pay about $1500 a month in rent.

My manager feeds me 100 chole bhature & then my tummy hurts so I ask her to give me a leave but then she declines my request and feeds me 1 more plate of chole bhature then I die because of excess gas formation inside my stomach, then I poop & become alive once again then my boss notices that im alive again and feeds me 109 plates of kadi chawal and this goes on and on and on and on

I went to the lease this last weekend. Not one drop of alcohol was had. That was the closest I’ve come to caving. 4 wheelers, killing dinner with big guns, doing manly things in God’s country. Beer is an absolute necessity during these events. Anyhow, I didn’t drink. Proud of myself. Monumental moment for me.

Curious what anyone thinks about cologne? Is it a turn on? I am not really into it.. but I just got a whiff of this dude at the gym and the cologne did something to me 🥰 It was really subtle. I tend to just like the way a man smells (not body odor but just natural scent) and don’t usually like it covered up, but wow this guy tonight 🥵 I might might buy some but i figured it would be gay to ask him “what are you wearing” because that prob isn’t something the bros at the gym do.

Has anyone successfully treated their depression and anxiety naturally (through lifestyle changes - exercise, prioritizing sleep, nutrition, social connections & therapy) rather than taking medication? I’m concerned about the long term effects of antidepressants and having to be dependent on them forever

Hi Fishies, I’m 32yrs old and went with IVF due to male factor. I had 5AA t/f(modified FET) on 11/07, today (11/16)I had blood work, nurse told HCG level is: 168.5, and will be checking again on 11/18, to see if HCG is raising. Is this good value? This is my first time IVF , little worried but again not keeping many hopes and become depressed I’d something goes wrong. Meanwhile trying to stay positive as well.

Welp, I did it. Took on a client who I knew was going to be trouble, and now they don’t want to pay me. I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. I am at Big4 UK (London). Recently, I started to suspect myself to have Asperger’s. I haven’t seen a doctor yet and I haven’t been officially diagnosed. I was always understanding that something is not “normal” with me but I didn’t know about Asperger’s. Let’s assume I go to a doctor and officially been diagnosed. What are the pros/cons to disclose it to my employer? Can they fire me because of this? I am on visa in this country. That’s why don’t want to risk it at all. Thanks for help!

Remotest you hadn’t been diagnosed but you graduated college - you don’t have ADHD.
Do not try to relate to someone who has ADHD. Symptoms v disorder … you likely just have symptoms here and there. If you had the disorder, you wouldn’t have made it this far without knowing.

However, the meds are great, and good luck getting them!

Just found out I’m getting promoted to manager at a Big 4. Yay! They have no idea how hard it was getting diagnosed with ADHD finally midway through this year and thinking I’d never make it. Jokes on them!

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 12. My family did not opt to put me on medication. I illegally discovered Adderall in college. Worked incredible. Got diagnosed after college & after having been fired from my first job. Passed the CPA exams on Adderall. Went off of it again. I do everything well at my job except for attention to detail within my excel files & emails. Will taking ADHD medication really fix this? Does anyone else have this issue and was it resolved by taking medication?

After 12 rounds of me vs my adhd - its still a LOVE/HATE relationship. I conclude I’m in the wrong career as a result. I love being smart, excelling, having random super human skills. But my career/stalemate with my own mind makes me feel like I am the biggest loser fuck up ever. All the time. I 1000% understand why work isn’t working out. I empathize for all involved > they probs deserve. Thrilled to figure this out but OH F$CK this is gonna get BAD bad before it gets fixed. Commiserate?
