I was in a wedding that used fake ones that you rent and they were fabulous. They looked very realistic. The flowers in the bouquet even had different shaped stems, some with thorns some without, based on the flower. I was very impressed.

What I’ve heard is don’t use fake for flowers people can touch (like center prices) but for like a ceremony arch they’re fine
for background pieces and structures go fake, no one’s going to smell or touch them
I wanted to, but hated the flowers when I got the sample from Something Borrowed Blooms. They did roses really well, but I wanted other flowers (anemones, that sort of style) and they just looked so so so fake.
Take advantage of the samples from the companies and see if the ones you would order actually look good. I think it's an awesome idea and I really wish it would have worked for my wedding
We aren’t using fake flowers but I know at least 3 people who have. The spaces looked beautiful and I’m sure their pictures turned out fabulous as well. As someone who’s planning a wedding now and who has been to too many to count, my thought is that every guest knows and understands that the average couple will save costs somewhere - whether it’s having a cash bar, having a friend as their photographer, or a ceremony in a public space, etcetera. Will your guests notice? Probably. Will they care? The right guests who are reasonable and understanding people won’t. Do what’s right for you. You’ll be surrounded my loved ones who only want the best for the couple and to celebrate your love.
But weddings aren’t about the couple appearing cheap or well off 🤷🏽♀️

Due to allergies, we used wood sola flowers for the majority of our “floral” decor (with the exception of bouquets). We paired it with dried eucalyptus, dried baby’s breath, and succulents, so the centerpieces looked full.
Some family members were opposed to it initially, but they came around once they saw it assembled! We thought they turned out beautifully. Plus after the wedding, we were able to sell some to a future bride and keep what we wanted for home decor.
Both myself and sister in law used sola wood flowers, didn’t have to worry about preserving my bouquet and they looked amazing
Also the cost of getting everything raw (not premade like on Etsy) saved us so much on floral in comparison to have gone with real arrangements. if you go the sola wood route you can order the dye and glycerine from Amazon and save more money.
I used real flowers. But I think the artificial ones are great too. You just need to choose the right shop for this.
Nope. Artificial flowers are usually less expensive and can be easier to care for. But they may not look as realistic as real flowers.
I think sola wood flowers are great alternatives. You can mix it with other real flowers too.
High-quality silk flowers. You have a lot of options like silk peonies or silk orchids.
It depends on your preference and taste really. I don't think the guest will even notice it. Good luck!
