Anyone else following Rocket Lab’s debut today?
Newbie to investing and never invested in a company that went through a reverse stock split.
In theory, I understand the market value should increase but I’m not seeing this reflected in the price and naturally my book value/ share is very disappointing.
A) When should I anticipate the stock appreciation to occur?
B) What’s the next move for companies that do this? Issue more shares?
TIA!

I just think they’re looking for professional stories, and tbh if your interviewer is straight there’s a good chance they won’t be able to relate.
While I agree with OP that this is probably a great story, I agree with K1 and SC1 - they are really looking for a professional example here - ideally a client facing example but in-house stuff can also be relevant (e.g. I was one of the founders of our LGBT ERG at my first firm and it was a big deal because we had none and there was a lot of executive “selling” we had to do get buy-in but once it happened it snowballed into several other ERGs as well as the creation of new D&I and CSR teams that had never existed before in the org (this was ~14 years ago)).
Promotion during COVID is not enough - you have to have a succinct story of what specifically got you promoted in spite of COVID. Re: coming out - I am 100% confident you can make it relevant but I am not sure most interviewers will appreciate it. You’ll like get positive affirmation and feedback but I doubt it’s what most interviewers would find relevant.
Could seem a bit self-centred if they are following a routine scorecard and expecting to hear about impact in work/college/volunteering etc. Generally good interviewers want to see you when you’re at your best/in the flow - shows true potential - so then your story could work. But there are a lot of average interviewers out there.
