Have a friend that recently took 3 weeks of PTO. At my job that would be very hard to get approved due to shifting of projects or work. Does anyone else have this issue or is there a better way to bring this up to get approved?

She doesn't know the real reason why I'm lukewarm about kids: I don't think she's matured enough. I'm trying to plan for retirement and a house, but all she wants is her next overseas vacation

Anyone here from Canada, who went through TN Visa process recently with Google, that can share their experience and timeline of getting the visa? I am planning to take some time off to wrap up relocation related stuff and manage notice period as well so it would be good to get some insight on timelines. If you do billable work on a given PTO/vacation day, do you still count that day as vacation? Or do you get that vacation day "back"? Or do you only get the part that you billed "back"? (Or some other option.)

So I had 3 deals scheduled to either close end of May or mid June which were all pushed to end of June/beginning of July. Which is when I have my first vacation planned for over a year (I take 0 time off). My whole family is flying up and we’re renting a cabin near me. What do I do? I’m running one of the deals, semi running the other one and not doing much leading on the other one. Note: I was supposed to not be running any of these. Do I find a back up first or tell the partners first?

My wife is in sales at Mercedes and she has been averaging $200k a year and growing YoY. She loves her job, however she works long days and barely gets time off. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Because I am able to “pick up and go” I’m open to opportunities and locations. I’ve never worked with a recruiter but was hoping I could get some recommendations!

I think I bombed a case interview with Chartis for an associate consultant position. The case was in excel and required me to manipulate the data via share screen with the interviewer. I couldn’t get some functions to work and was struggling to go through the 16 page PDF of data. I had several answers correct but needed to walk through the remaining questions with some guidance. My other 3 case interviews went well and I had great conversation with the partner for behavioral interview. Thoughts?
