Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. Just got turned down by Amazon after two extensive writing assignments, 6 interviews and hours spent preparing. And their policy doesn’t allow them to give feedback when an offer is not made. Talk about a bruised ego. The only silver lining is staying long enough to collect the October and January big law bonuses and then I’m out! The question is where else pays like Amazon?!
I’m in a small, close knit bar. I love my firm (not biglaw) and the people I work with but I really, truly hate billing hours. I am interviewing with a boutique firm that does not track billables and has a great rep for work/life balance. I’m excited at the prospect of more $ for less time, but will also feel guilty to leave my firm after they spent significant resources over the past few years “raising” me, only to lose me. Tell me I’m being silly and that this won’t burn bridges.

Have an interview tomorrow for what’s likely a dream job as first employment counsel to a small established pharma company with some other responsibilities which closely mirror my current role. I’ve got a referral from a current member of the legal team and an hr business partner who previously worked with the general counsel and is friendly with him. My guess is the pay will be a 40% increase or better plus stock. Just wanted to share because except my wife I can’t really tell anybody.
Background:Asia, expecting to promote to M this cycle. Looking for some advice on being headhunted/jumping ship. I’m speaking to HR from another big 4 + a recruiter for another firm for an M role, and it looks like the $ and potentially benefits will be bigger, but I’m not that keen on moving unless the $ is a huge jump. Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? Hi Guys, While I joined Mindtree before 3 months, recruiter said I will be getting joining bonus after 3 months of joining. But it was not mentioned in the offer letter, as well as I was not aware that joining bonus will be mentioned in offer letter as this is my 1st jump in IT field. Now the recruiter left organization and my HR is telling they cannot accommodate request as it is not mentioned in offer letter. How should I escalate this to the recruiter's manager to get a positive reply?

Returned from sick leave and found out from other people at the office I totally messed up on a project that I worked on prior to sick leave. Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. No one at the office stood up for me despite of positive work done prior to COVID or wants to hear what I have to say. I m bothered by this gaslighting practice both professionally and personally. What’s the fastest way to get a COVID-19 test result? Urgent care places say 2 days for RTPCR results. Someone suggested going directly to a hospital for a same day result but on calling them, hospitals are saying tests only for in- patients who are going for surgery etc.Appreciate any help 🙏
