Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I have a friend who works there and she seems to love it and the culture. For example they are given a book to read, Culture Map, to create empathy between coworkers, and understand how people from different cultures around the world work/do business together. That's all I know tho. I guess it depends which team you're on
Makes sense, thank you for the response :)

I've got a friend working there and also loves it. Culture is good and folks seem to also be very driven and smart.
