Use the offer as leverage to accelerate the promotion process, then use the new title to get a better exit
From my ACN experience, you’d be about two years out from next promo if you moved. When I was there, they measured months at level with performance, but that may have changed. That was frustrating to me personally, but I’d recommend ACN to a friend
What area are you looking at?
It would be in their Digital practice for advisory. Also trying to weigh out not just career progression but culture, etc so if anyone has opinions on any of that, would love to hear it
Digital is really hot for ACN right now (we don’t use the term advisory so I assume this is consulting). Nonetheless, lot of opportunity for growth. That being said your offer might be on the high end, so you might already be at the salary base for the next level. Also, we don’t have a minimum months at level for promotion anymore, but I’d say the average jump from manager to senior manager is probably closer to 3 or 4 years. Hope this helps!
Acc1 how much do you think they’d offer for someone with 4 yrs of salesforce experience?
Also OP you should definitely go to Accenture over IBM. Better talent, better methodology
Agree 3-4 yrs is typical to get to Senior Manager but could certainly be faster in growing practice, which digital definitely is. Culture is really good in my opinion. I've had several leaders that seem to genuinely care about people and their careers. One in particular let me off a project because she knew I wanted off, even though I didn't push hard for it and she had to backfill my role (and I got great feedback so it was performance related). It's one reason I may never leave.
