Hi fishes, I declined the offer from Pwc AC bangalore on July 28th by sending an email to HR, communicated the same to us_pwc_ac_bangalore_recruitment_services@pwc.com. But I keep getting these emails to complete pre-hiring formalities and daily reminders for the same. How can I make them update the status in system? Also are there repercussions of rejecting an offer. I rejected 3 days after acceptance. PwC Pwc AC

First go through the internal project interview then client interview if not selected then again tons of interview. Why they people take interviews at the time of hiring.
I am feeling depressed now.

^ This is the correct response considering agencies have seemingly been hiring all men for decades.
For the record, the last three new hires we’ve had are men. The best person gets the job, period.
However, from reading through this thread, it’s really disheartening to see so much bitterness in an already very competitive market. Especially when as a woman— I have worked really hard to get where I’m at, after years of being held behind by men who didn’t think a woman was good enough. And seeing many male peers breeze past my female counterparts on boys club camaraderie and brews, being handpicked onto juicy briefs— while we worked twice as many late nights and weekends to prove our worth, and barely got a swing at a good brief (if even the scraps of one). I don’t think my male peers were consciously doing any of this out of malice, either. Maybe they did deserve it at the time. But the fact is they, and only they had the opportunity to show that they deserved it.
Yet today, it’s clear many don’t think these women “deserve” the jobs they are getting. Maybe it’s even some of these same guys who had a leg up before. Luckily that’s not all men. Some, including my own bosses, are now empowering women and believing in us more than ever before.
I’m sorry you feel like you are missing out, but you have to understand that this a single moment in time, against an ocean of biased energy that has been working against us for decades. Yes, maybe people are being more open minded about female hires now. But that is NOT discrimination.
You should always be advocating for yourself to get the most you can possibly get. I mean I’m not going to sit and be told I contributed to a banner year and get 8%, a great raise, without being a little aggressive and asking if 14% is possible, or if there’s some kind of bonus if I can close out a PO.
There will never be a universal level playing field. There are agencies where it is preferred to be a woman, and those where it is not. There are teams within an agency where some are favorites and others are not. It’s just life. It’s reality. Can’t dig up old injustices, perceived or real, to defend preferential treatment.
They do say that and it is illegal . Gender discrimination works both ways. Get a lawyer
Nothing really you can do, we’re in a weird cultural flux or “forcing” the hiring of more women and also somewhat avoiding them. I know managing directors who will avoid younger or liberal women because they fear lawsuits or tension.
“Men favoring men is sexism, but it’s not sexism for women to favor women because of the previous men favoring men”
Great. Going to guess this copy has a tight leash from strategy on positioning and messaging.
Dude, just stop
Last agency I worked for in Chicago was 75% female. The team I led was all women.
Trap I,be heard that many times in the last 12 months
