Have my first round panel interview for KPMG with two managers within the Deals Advisory practice. Any idea what I can expect?

Had an interview today and was asked what my current salary is and what is the range i am looking for. I managed to avoid answering by asking in return what is their budget. The recruiter stated 65k-85k and my idiot self stated that I would like my salary to be in the 70ish🤦‍♀️ I should have said towards the end range. If contacted for a second round, how should I talk regarding $? Feels like I am leaving money on the table. Will they ask again.. does anyone have experience with this situation?

Interviewed with Strategy& some time back. 2 out of the 3 in person interviewers were on their phones during 20-30% of the interview. Curious to know how to react to this as I am in the market again?

What type of case studies are people getting when interviewing for Strategy roles? How about Finance? Are they the same style/depth as consulting case studies? Are the examples from as "Case in Point" or "Hacking the Case" a good representation? Going to start applying in the next month or two and want to brush up on my skills.

Gave two rounds of interview and reached the final round at Johnson and Johnson, Canada. It’s been 17 days there has been no update. Mailed the HR and replied back that they’ll have an update within this week. Mailed the HR once again today but haven’t got any reply yet. Did they reject me? Will they not at least let me know by an email?
