TCS is the worst company one can be in.
Cheap mindset management cares more about timesheet, wfo, forceful mandatory trainings, imposing strict restrictions on laptop, access to personal docs only via vpn,no employee well being no salary hikes nth at all.90% projects filled with freshers coz they cost less.No WLB for good dedicated hard working employees as they are punished with more and more work, leaves rewards mostly for people who don’t work. But no issues kyunki job security hai 😂
I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

Yep. I started looking for jobs a couple of months before I was expected to have an annual increase. When they tried to lowball me and tell me they would give me a 1.5% increase, I let them know I had another job offer. They increased my raise to 5%. It wasn't a huge increase, but I liked the job, and I was able to successfully leverage another offer for a bit more money. Looking back I probably could've gotten more. But I already felt kind of nervous putting my job on the line in order to make more money.
Honestly I dont' think this is a great way to go about it. I think that a lot of employers reject feeling backed into a corner, and in my experience, this kind of thing can backfire a lot. I think if you present an external offer, you should only do so with the intent that you are actually leaving.
Generally this can backfire unless you have a very rare skill (hard to show in this market). You need to be prepared to walk if you don’t get your match because now you’re a flight risk.
