Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

Yes— I’m not sure it was intentional though. Oftentimes hiring managers are saddled with dozens of applicants, and then interviews. They do need to sometimes get clarity on what they feel are important aspects of the role.
If it gets more personal than that then I’m not sure what the HMs agenda might be. But if you get the inclination that’s indicative of the HMs personality, I’d think twice about whether you’d want the job!
Yeah. Couldn't figure out if that was their style or they just REAAALLY wanted someone else adn wanted to rule me out. At some point you realise that it's adversarial and just back off - if the interview starts off that way, it's not gonna get any better even if you are hired lol
Of course. Many times in my career and I was hired because I remained patient, competent, unshook, and clarified with the STAR interview strategy. Working in sales yields no more than yes. The interviewer is just a customer.
Sell.
