PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

McKinsey & Company I did my final round with McKinsey today, and I I received a rejection call from the partner today. However, he said I did really great and wants to keep in touch with me. He also mentioned that I should reapply in 6 months. Does anyone have any similar experience? Do I have a better chance if I reapply next time?McKinsey & Company

Now more than ever probably not too hard since people are in high demand. But in general we don’t like it because it’s a way for people to game the system (get into a lower demand office and then try to move to a higher demand office) - and the receiving office won’t have had a chance to see how you do as an intern. It’s definitely done relatively often but it faces some understandable resistance.
If you have the offer already might as well bite the bullet and have the convo and see if there’s flex
For a bit more context: some at BCG have told me that usually the reason for an office transfer from Summer Associate to Associate should be family/relationship related to be approved without a major issue. Would it be enough if I wanted to try out a different city/environment? Do I need a more compelling reason than that?
You can do this or be truthful lol.
If it’s the same system typically easier. Where it gets really tricky is across geographies—like you want to move from SE Asia to NYC and need visa.
Summer associate in the Boston office, feel free to connect with me and I can make introductions if you'd like to get to know the office
