My sister wants to do a Two-Year MSW Full-Time Program from Factor Inwentash School Of Social Work University of Toronto in Canada.
She's an international graduate in English Language and literature but wants to pivot her career into social work inspired by the volunteering she has been doing for a while.

Can someone jot down the possible roles that one can secure after finishing this program.
Also are there any one who has completed this program from University of Toronto ?

The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

Are sponsored applicants less likely to get scholarship $ since the school knows that $ is likely not a barrier to attending?

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. Is this normal in the entertainment world? Any suggestions?

If SC doesn't exist, is Manager a good level to target, or is Consultant more like it? Looking for 200k base at a minimum.
Expect my current year TC to be around 200-210k.

BP: 23 Lpa + 1L joining bonus with 1 year lock in ( location : pune)
Airbus: 26lpa + 5 L joining bonus with 3 year lock in( location : bangalore)
Shell: 26 lpa ( final offer being rolled out)location : bangalore

Please advice which company would have a good growth story and work life balance....

Airbus looks attractive but have heard some very harsh reviews on work life balance.

How far into implementation and execution do you get as a strategist (and what's your specialty). I notice social strategist tend to get way more into the executional portion, even writing copy etc. whereas brand strategy tends to roll off once the briefing process is done. Does brand strategy ever go on shoots or vendor/production meeting and are they responsible for it? Just had an unclear moment where it seemed like I was expected to vet production partners and I didn't realize I should've .

I’m super happy and excited to exit out of consulting job.
I met all the check marks every appraisal cycle but still I was given the same reason every year. Need book of business or sales experience. Finally, I’m out of that cycle. I’m joining one of the FAANG!

My group’s billable hours have been low the last few years, so making partner will be nearly impossible, and a counsel position is not viable long-term in my group. What’s the best option here if partnership is the ultimate goal? Hello! I am a recent graduate of a medical billing and coding program and I’ m finding it really difficult to get a job because most employers are looking for someone with at least 3 years experience. How do I get my foot in the door with no real time experience?

Is it naive to hope that there could be a job out there that I actually LIKE doing as opposed to just forcing myself to do it for the paycheck? I work for a great company with (mostly) great people but still find myself wishing I could be doing anything else throughout the workday. After a number of different jobs in industry and consulting have left me feeling the same after a year or so, I'm starting to wonder if it'll always be this way and actually liking work is just out of reach.

Shes moving for about 60% more pay from external audit to senior accounting. Shes extremely sad and im confused why these firms are so uptight about this. She is giving them an additional 4 days which she wanted to use on vacation. Did she do something wrong?

I graduated in May of 22. I transitioned from being an intern to being a full time counselor, now for 6 months. I feel like I might be catching my agency at a tough time, but as an employee it doesn’t seem to be trying anything to keep me here besides the occasional ‘motivational’ posts from the administrative team. I felt like I was lowballed during my offer, and my negotiation salary was denied since this is technically my first “professional” job. Pt 2 in comments:

LCSW 50k loan repayment- Has anyone been granted a contract through the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program? I have worked mainly in the Community Mental Health and the VA Health systems, hence my fatigue. I’ve flirted with private practice work in the past, but my spouse has been worried about not having affordable healthcare and benefits that each system provides. Is it worth the jump? Am I overthinking things?
