Hey! Not an expert since I’m also working to switch but bootcamps you can look at are springboard (i’m currently working through this), design labs, general assembly.
From a tools and technical standpoint, Figma is probably the one you want to get familiar with most i think. Also a good idea to have an idea of how Adobe XD and Sketch work.
Based on some of the ppl I’ve talked to portfolio is much more important than like what bootcamp you do so focus on learning the principles and begin thinking about different projects/case studies you can showcase.
There’s also a bunch of different specializations within UX so that can also dictate how you transition, but feel like everyone who starts out tends to be more of a generalist before diving deep into an specific specialized roles.
Hope this helps a little but know there’s others way more knowledgeable about the industry than I am since I’m also still working to switch from media to UX/UI
Hello! I feel you, making a career change can be overwhelming, something I’ve found helpful is a YouTube channel https://m.youtube.com/c/aonatalks
Aona has many videos about how to start a career in UX research (if you are interested in doing UX research more than UX Design this is perfect!)
