It is really disheartening to see the large fraction (30%) being deducted from your salary every month. I know some would defend the tax deduction but somewhere I don't find it justified when looking at the kind of infrastructure or services offered.

Anyhow, just want to know some ways people employ to save on this big chunk via CAs

Pls note I have already declared all available options - 80C, HRA, home loan, NPS (self and org). Still it doesn't make much of a difference

I'm planning to purchase a home in the next 1-2 years as a first home buyer. My parents are currently refinancing their home and because they are close to retirement and have a smaller income, I'm planning to take out the mortgage under my name (won't be listed as the property owner). Would I still be able to get the benefits of being a first home buyer when that time comes? Or will the mortgage disqualify me? I recognize this isa unique situation, so it's been hard to find a clear answer online

currently tossing up between staying at a global company (who is in the process of some positive changes) with an amazing manager who supports my career and flexible working … however comes with the inherit issues that come with a long standing global company

compared with a role at a smaller mga, higher salary (around 30%) more , more visibility career wise and some great employee benefits , management seem to be supportive and low staff turnover
