Hope everyone is doing well. I’m fairly new to this and could really use some guidance here. I work for a CDJR dealership in parts dept and run a parts website by myself. Recently, I’ve been looking for other jobs and no one seems to call me back as I only have dealership experience and nothing else. I’d really like to stay away from dealerships but would like to keep working in the website management field. What kind of jobs would you guys recommend? TIA for your replies.

Do you all see a compelling future in your tax career? I’ll go first, I don’t see a compelling future working for a large PA firm in the long run because you have to work more as you move up. However, I do see a compelling future by using my knowledge and skills to open my own firm/business and work less hours as long as I make enough money which is $75k, or if I do work long hours, it’s because I want to.

I have 2+ years experience with Salesforce, before Salesforce I was a full-stack dev with some DevsOps experience. I worked for Finance Services and Oil & Gas companies. Right now, I wanted to make a switch to Aviation, Aerospace or Defense company. I’m in Texas, specifically Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. If you make it to senior manager at big four can you leave and become partner or director at mid size firm? Is this hard to do? I know there is a lot of politics at big four and have no interest staying in a senior manager role for 6-8 years and risk a chance of still not becoming partner. Also I got a long way to go before senior manager fyi.

I’m seriously contemplating taking a software development boot camp. For those who hire new software developers, does it make you stand out if you get your certificate from a university instead of a coding academy (like coding dojo or something)? I noticed the universities are a bit more expensive but is it worth the price to have a university on your resume or does it not really matter?
