I accepted a job offer, that starts a-little over a month out. (Accepted: 07/3rd-Starts: 08/11th)They asked me to go online and fill out the application on the company website. When I did the application didn’t even ask about background etc. Once I signed everything I was sent a job offer/welcome packet in it, it said the job was contingent on a background check. No one has sent me anything since 07/3 and the job starts in approximately 3 weeks. Does anyone know what this means?

Howdy Sales Fishes - I’ve got an interview coming up and the recruiter prepared me by sharing that the interviewer may be low energy intentionally. Does any have a best practice for tactfully responding to this behavior or should I just persevere?

My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. I’ve barely taken any days off this year and pick up “skeleton crew” days any chance I get. I was able to work out a deal with my company before I came because of prior experience luckily, but they offer a terrible base salary and sham of a commission structure to new hires + no remote. Then sit here and can’t figure out why…

“Job hopper” and “quiet quitting” are all schemes made up by boomers to make you think everything is the employees fault. When in reality people are just getting out of bad situations. Older companies do whatever they can to pay you the least amount and get the max work out of you. Except our generation will just leave amid we’re being mistreated, not complain for 35 years making 50k and 0 advancement.
