Hello! I just passed the patent bar a couple of months ago so I'm applying to my first patent agent roles. However, I only have a masters in law, not a JD, so I have no summer associate experience, and every position wants experience first. How did some of you other patent agents get your first positions if you've never worked in a law firm before? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!

Looking for advice on types of roles I should be searching in financial services. I am an expert communicator, both written and verbal (many publications, and pre-consulting/fs career in public speaking), and a great salesperson. Want to be able to keep writing and attending conferences, as well as have a sales component. I don't enjoy working with back office banking robots. International vs. PCS internal and Exit Opportunities. — I’m a S2 in ATL working in PCS and in international/crossborder for private clients. I need some guidance determining whether I would be better off staying in PCS or declaring a specialty in int’l/crossborder work. I don’t see myself in B4 forever, and it seems the int’l work would limit exit opps in the future. However, PCS exit opps aren’t appealing to me either: family office or wealth management. — any help or insight is appreciated.

Potential client owns an e-commerce website selling graphic design posters (think college type posters) submitted by a freelance artists. Most of sales are from posters based off of celebrity musicians. Does client need a license from the celebrities to sell graphic posters of the celebrities even though it is from freelance artists?

I am not sure just how many people are in this bowl but I feel like I just need to say this...I AM SO GRATEFUL AND HAPPY WITH MY DECISION TO PRACTICE IP! I am a newer attorney and I practice solely trademark law. I love it, my boss, my schedule and I am happy! I am seeing so many attorneys posting about burnout, stress, and hating their jobs in the other bowls and I just needed to shout it out to the universe that I think we made the right decision with IP.

Given the potential pay with Firm B is significant (I’d say life-changing), I scheduled the interview. Should I disclose Firm A during the interview or wait and only disclose if Firm B makes an offer? Between now and the interview, I will not have completed any significant work for Firm A.
