Hello! I’m a pharmacist and I’m about to graduate with a master’s degree in formulation science. I’ve learned a bit about regulatory affairs in my master’s program, but it was not the main focus. I really want to start a career in the pharmaceutical or medical devices regulatory affairs. Could anyone please give me advice on how to start a career in this area considering my background? Can I switch my role from a Java Developer to a Salesforce dev in the company itself?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

Is this a good practice area for recent grads? Or people with only 1 YOE?

Can tax lawyers in public accounting feasibly make to a move to IRS counsel? Also, would it be worth that move?

Just got offered a job at a small biotech in London (UK). ~£45k plus bonus but only 1YR FTC and no equity.

Pretty sure it's a discovery role too.

I just finished my PhD at a very good uni with 3 years technician experience before that. BSc and MSc also at very good unis with good grades.

I think this offer is well below par, but curious to hear what you guys think/if you have any comparisons?
