Seasons are overrated. Going to the beach in December is the shit! Never gonna convince me that freezing your ass off in the winter and sweating your ass off through a disgustingly humid summer beats 72 degrees all your round and beach in December.
I do ^
Manager 1 = supervising senior
I actually was just in the SD office at Mira Sorrento in April and it was pretty lax from what I could tell. I was in mid week and it seems that not many come into the office. The surrounding offices / food court complex adds a lively vibe.
It's one of the more popular offices to transfer into - if you're not 1 rated and have strong partner support, might be more challenging than you think.
Aka not possible
Very tough
Wonderful atmosphere, regardless of LoS.
I'm currently in the San Francisco office. Yeah, I considered the nice weather, and the border with Mexico for weekend trips.
How
Don't do it! Find some other office to transfer to. What office are you currently in? Service line as that will impact your perception of the culture, for example going from New York you'd think it was really laid back and you aren't busy; where as, if you were coming from a smaller office it may be complete opposite.
Also, do you really want to move to a city with no seasons?
Also SD is a 1 hour flight to some of the best skiing in the world (Tahoe and Mammoth), a 1 hour flight to Vegas, and close to the Mexican resort towns. You basically have access to anything you want to do for vacation, with the exception of Europe which is a trek.
Hahaha pwc2 spot on
Pwc3 why do you say no?
Go for a visit, meet leaders there and let them know what you bring, and express why you'll be there longer than a year long vacation. This advice holds true for any smaller market in a destination city.
