Sunnyside was my go to!
I love Sunnyside. I’ve been using it since before there was an app and even now I still prefer the daily text message reminder to track.
The support from peers on the app is one of the best parts too.
I agree with the other comment, Sunnyside was my go to. I don't use it anymore, because I decided to go for total abstinence. But it does exactly what it says!
M1 and VP1 how long did it take you from when you started using the app to full abstinence? And how much were you drinking just before abstinence?
Funny sunny side is the name of a dispensary here in Illinois

I Am Sober
I started doing drinking days and non drinking days. Limiting drinking days severely. Like most weeks have been 0 or 1 drinking days. This allows me to be free with myself on those days and just enjoy. But it takes away the random Tuesday where I have 10 drinks. I just don’t find it worth it to have 2 glasses of wine at dinner and honestly it’s very difficult for me to stop in the moment. So at team or client dinners or random family/friends things I’ve just been abstaining.
I’ve been doing this for a relatively short time. Like 5 weeks but I will say that it has made a huge difference in my consumption. And also a huge difference in my tolerance. Which I think is why alcohol abuse is so dangerous. Your tolerance builds up and you are able to function with an incredible amount of alcohol in your system. Wake up with minimal hangover etc. you start to think you are doing fine.
Sure I’ve gone on a couple benders over the last 5 weeks but man do I pay for it the next day and I’m hoping that over time I’ll learn not to do it so hard :)
I’ve in the past tried going completely sober for weeks or a month and it’s just not sustainable. This actually feels like it might work as a long term plan to cut down.
