It leads to writing a lot of meeting minutes and status reports.
I am ex ACN... you have experience. Try to shoot for a consultant level role ( more money) if you're going to do it.
D2 talked about Deloitte... not ACN..... so "i dont think they know what they are talking about"
A PMO role is a thankless job. You will schedule calls, make meeting minutes, create slides, updating sharepoint. Don't get me wrong it can lead to other opportunities but it will be hard. The problem is if you are really good at PMO you will be stuck. Try to leverage IBM as a spring board to do what you want and for more $$$
That’s doesn’t sound good lol
Its b**** work
I don’t think the folks above know what they’re talking about. We have an internal PMO group that does program management, which I’m guessing is what you’re applying for. They are strictly project managers though, so you’ll always be doing PMO work. They never go “client service” though...
Linkedin = networking
Indeed = Job search
Glassdoor = Company ratings , salaries, interviews
Can anyone else provide a little more detail/input??
Will it never lead to any type of other role?
^ok thanks for the input. It doesn’t sound like what I want to do but I need to find something ASAP
^thats my plan but it’s been very difficult. I spent a year at IBM doing mostly operational stuff before I got laid off. I had the title digital strategy consultant so I’m doing everything I can to leverage that.
We all get laid off eventually ... dont let that get you down! Enjoy you're FUnemployement check and keep searching indeed.com
Is indeed.com really a good place to go? I always thought LinkedIn was the more professional place
