How much yearly hike can one expect at Société Générale ?
"Depends on performance" seems to be a very vague answer.
Can someone please elaborate on a better answer.
Also, Can someone shed some light on promotions?
Is there any policy, like you have to work for X years to be eligible for promotion etc.
Thanks in advance.

This seems to be more of an Italy matket/tax problem than a deloitte underpaid problem.
But hey that's socialism
Is that a typical salary for an SC at Deloitte in Italy?
20K?? So what are the high paying jobs in Italy?
My only (and huge) issue is that I can’t relocate to any other country for the time being due to divorce/visitation rights her father has. I was wondering though if - given the lockdown situation and the whole remote working “trend” - there would be some companies interested in hiring someone based in another country. I do have full availability for business travels, simply can’t relocate permanently. Grateful for any piece of advice you may be able to share. 🙏
I really don’t mind the traveling and actually can’t wait to be a frequent flyer again. Would your suggestion be to move out of consulting?
Wow is Italy that expensive (or is consulting that under valued?)
Most other parts of the world, deloitte SC would have no problem with affording rent for a family of 2-3.
@accenture 1: hardly anyone I know has managed getting mortgage before 40+. Those who push through are either living with their parents, renting a small place (but they’re single/with no kids) or share apartments, have their parents cover for their down payment - which my parents can’t do. Besides providing for my kid - on a personal level, it’s upsetting to think of how much ive studied and how hard i work only to earn SO little.
What do you do at Deloitte Italy?
Cybersec.
I had as a Senior in Austria (neighboring EU country of Italy) a Salary of 70k+ so either I) u are not as valuable to the firm as u think or II) Deloitte is ripping u off
It’s not D issue. It’s the job market in Italy. You can likely 2x your salary, within Italy, if you manage to switch to mgmt consulting like mbb/atk/strat&/alix/et. Or get into corporate, and try some luck.
Which languages do you speak? Might be easier to focus your attention on these countries. Though I am not sure if working remotely will be possible all year long
Native Arabic/Italian, brought up in American schools and good knowledge of French.
Is any of your network at other firms? I find that referrals are often the way in. At Alix in Italy you’d be significantly higher.
You should definitely reach out to those folks. Ideally you have a referral in market but I know for a fact MBB review all referrals. DM me and perhaps we can discuss if Alix is a fit.

Where did you go to uni? Is your English completely fluent?
Absolutely, I was brought up in American schools and came back to Rome for uni. I graduated law school and masters in international relations. I later completed another masters program in geopolitics & global security.
