Tell her that you agree with her on your friend being out of his league with his current girlfriend and then ask her if she’d be interested in dating him bc you want to set him up with someone closer to his level so he won’t be heartbroken 😉
Amen
She's bitter she's single and taking it out on you and your friend. I'm surprised your gf didn't say anything to her. I like M1's idea.
Just as a clarity on the last part. She said that MY girlfriend was also out of my league in front of me and my girlfriend. That’s the part I am asking if I should just brush it off or take it as an insult. Idc about what she said about my friend 😂
It's all about the tone, and since we weren't there, we don't know if it's an insult or a compliment. MAYBE she was saying "You're a lucky dude, don't eff it up mister!"
Also, if you all had been drinking, it might just be a catty comment from a tipsy gal.
OP u gotta share pics of your friend and his GF. Maybe she is right???
It sounds like she’s complementing her female friends and also complementing the men for dating woman that are attractive but subtly insulting them with the “out of your league” statement. Women speak in subtext and emotional layers. Confusing, I know.
Or she was just drunk and wasn’t really speaking coherently. Out of curiosity, is this friend conventionally attractive?
Is she single? I've experienced single friends of partners being jealous and dragging me and the male partners of their friends.
