Graduating with PhD in comp neuro next year. I just did a week long internship at MBB to check out consulting, which I loved but ultimately will not be accepting my offer for life considerations (my wife also works at MBB and we have young children). It was amazing getting a sense of what the work actually comprises.

I’m interviewing for secretary and came across one I like who has 12 years experience at a well-respected law firm on Long Island. She has worked primarily in litigation. Two things seem wonky though: I asked her if she is a notary public and she said “no” and when I asked how what her salary requirement is and she only asked for $65k per annum. Am I missing something here?

I’ll go first, in the 15 years between when I was a law clerk to when I became a non-equity partner, my firm’s profits per equity partner amount doubled. Associate comp went up 20k in the same time period.
