I have a question, I got a contract role through a recruiter. Initially the recruiter offered the hourly pay rate which was the minimum in my range. Now I got an offer from the company. Now without me asking her she increased the hourly wage to the maximum range I asked. Which makes me doubt if the company increased it or she knew the rate all along but gave me the lower rate ?

Switching from commission to salary!

I’m considering a less sales-oriented role that doesn’t pay commission. The new role will have a higher base but lower overall earning potential.

What % haircut should be expected? As an example, if I make 100k (base + commission) today, would it be realistic to ask for 90k (10% cut) + equity to make up the difference?

I wanted to flag so others can know, I live in mcol and I just received an offer for 120k base and a 15k signing bonus. I have three years of experience. At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Is this FOMO or is there real opportunity here?

In two interviews the interviewer asks me about one topic which I know theoretically and some practical. I directly said to the interviewer that I am not an expert in that, but if I get my hands on it then I can learn in one day.

After asking two questions again he came on the same topic this happens twice in two interviews. Mere ko lag raha hey Jaan bujhke questions same topic pe puchte hey, so that they don't select that candidate.

Female 27..yoe 6 mostly in mngmnt.Couple of months back i switched into technical line all by self study,no real world expsure.Luckily i was able to clear interviews but now i feel like that am stuck..nt able to grasp technical wrk really well, although i am holding industry experience still feeling like fresher knowing literally nothing(am fresher in this line though but still...) Everyday i get up &sleep with work anxiety I wana give up but dont know what to do. Am i being impatient?
