I'm using The American College self-study program. So far, it's working fine for me. You have access to Blackboard, which I'm sure if pretty standard (others may use their own version of something similar). You can do the audio/video reviews online, via mp3, CD, etc. There are also great practice quizzes online, as well as sample exams. I'm on course #3 with them; I got a B on the first one many years ago and an A on the most recent exam.
Take it in a classroom. You will get infinitely more out of the experience than doing it online. Yhe American College sucks balls. If you want to go cheap and easy (just to get the alphabet soup), I'll tell you that I did a few online classes at Texas A&M Commerce. It was very (too) easy. And at the time it was less expensive than anything I could find anywhere, by about 15%. That was 2007, though. You definitely want to pony up for a good, live review course before the exam.Good luck.
I took a few online at Florida State University....easy to take and wasn't too costly. I think they charge $450 a course now with the capstone course at $900.
