Hey guys, my partner wants me to start the certification process for my CFP. I want something I can do online and something with a high pass rate is good, but they all claim to be the best. Thoughts?

I'm using The American College self-study program. So far, it's working fine for me. You have access to Blackboard, which I'm sure if pretty standard (others may use their own version of something similar). You can do the audio/video reviews online, via mp3, CD, etc. There are also great practice quizzes online, as well as sample exams. I'm on course #3 with them; I got a B on the first one many years ago and an A on the most recent exam.

Take it in a classroom. You will get infinitely more out of the experience than doing it online. Yhe American College sucks balls. If you want to go cheap and easy (just to get the alphabet soup), I'll tell you that I did a few online classes at Texas A&M Commerce. It was very (too) easy. And at the time it was less expensive than anything I could find anywhere, by about 15%. That was 2007, though. You definitely want to pony up for a good, live review course before the exam.Good luck.

I took a few online at Florida State University....easy to take and wasn't too costly. I think they charge $450 a course now with the capstone course at $900.

Hey y'all, kind of a two part question:
1. I enjoy the people management more than individual contributor stuff. What career paths do you see in our industry for people who are managing support engineering teams?
2. What certifications are valued today? Seems like being a AWS Cloud Practitioner is a good general one, but are there others that stand out?

I don’t like the stuff that comes along with public, such as time tracking and hours goals. A transfer to audit is low on my priority list (also tough to pull off). Just started actively looking in industry, but fear that if I continue to stay in my current position, I will get pigeonholed into tax only positions in the future. Cont...

Right now I’m a data analyst with TSQL/PLSQL/MySQL experience. I have experience writing complex queries/views/stored procedures/etc. I have intermediate excel skills and have dabbled in Power BI. I also taught myself PowerAutomate and now am automating my weekly/monthly tasks. My question is what will make me more marketable as a data analyst? Will getting my certificate in PowerBI help? What is a good ETL tool to learn?
