Think this guy is pulling out early

I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

Not super necessary - if you want to break into cyber or another IT field, going for your CISSP may be the move. You can jump to IA/IT IA, cybersecurity position, standard IT ops positions, etc in Industry with your experience, probably at a Senior level

You mean taking the exam, or jumping to a different IT position? For both, the answer is yes haha, the experience is not required
Is your plan to stay in IT audit? If so, CISA will be pretty important. It’s the base level cert for credibility in the field.
You can still get a job if you don’t have it. But the higher the chain you go up, the more you’ll need to have that credential.
You’re likely looking at senior roles or experienced associate roles. So it’s not a huge deal if you don’t have it right now. Once you’re up for manager, you’ll likely need it.
Cisa is a joke
But HR people care
Someone in high school could pass the CISA. If you don’t have it, I assume you don’t care that much about your career.
and by this message i assume you’re a loser. happy Monday.
