Hi All, My Junior has decided to put paper, as she wanted to pursue Cdac course from Sept-22. She just informed that she signed a bond of 2 years and currently she has completed 1.7 years in HCL. What should she do now? Results is on 10-aug and she decided to put paper on that day itself (Earlier she told the same to Sr. manager) Kindly suggest if any action would be taken by HCL OR No experience letter would be shared with her. The word “preference” or “preferred” with anything regarding LGBTQIA+ identities. It’s not someone’s preferred name- it’s their name. Also mixing up sex and gender (eg a form asking if your gender is female or male).
Yep! If I need to describe both I use “chosen name” and “legal name” for myself, but most of the time I don’t bother bringing in my legal name at all.
I have a colleague who still says "Indian style" when she speaks about how she likes to sit. I cringe every time. People have even said stuff to her, but she seems clueless. Fortunately, I don't believe there is anyone who would be directly impacted, but still...
More just annoying and reminded me they didn’t take me seriously:
Every time I had a discussion via email with my previous employer, they would retitle my email
Legal First Name “Chosen First Name” Last Name
This made me feel as if they didn’t see me as Chosen Name and instead undercut me by using my legal name when it wasn’t remotely relevant or necessary.
Bossy, aggressive.
