I recently started GC with EY law. I haven’t seen any case process since late august and there are a few items past due. The lawyers are not responding to my emails, does anyone know how to get a better sense of case progress and possibly to get the lawyers to speed up the process? Thanks! EY

Depending on where you go to do defense work, you'll likely still have to work on client development. To succeed at an ID firm it's best to develop your own book of business. If you go in-house with a carrier, you can get away from client development, but I don't know of any other way to do so.
Thanks Managing Attorney — very helpful thoughts.
I would agree with above - If you’re not looking to do client development in house defense is the way to go. You still have client and claim adjuster interaction but the work is basically fed to you.
Thanks Attorney 1 —- appreciate the thoughts!
Where in NC? How is the compensation? I'm in Charlotte so I'm curious
For my current job? Raleigh — $100k per year plus 25% of any collections over $200k. What is your compensation down in Charlotte? Are you doing Plaintiff’s or ID?
