Opinions on headshots? Should I get one?
JPMorgan Chase recruiter from Poland has reached out about a role in the UK and has tried to call me from a polish number, but can’t hear a thing during the phone call. She then messages me on LinkedIn to say she will call me in an hour due to having connection issues.

Why don't you cold contact biotech analysts? That is one sector that is always hiring and there's no better place to learn more than directly from the source.
So I tried doing this on LinkedIn and did try again after seeing your comment. Not having any luck yet. I did see any equity research life sciences analyst position at J.P. Morgan so I tried reached out to current employees in that sector. Let’s see if it works out 🫤
Do you know any referrals? It's much faster that way. Or you can also reach out to recruiters in your area.
I agree with this. If you can get a referral it will really help you.
Some employees in GS don't have any finance degree or experience. Do you have an account in LinkedIn? Search for groups working in finance industry and join them. You can find some referrals there for sure.
This is what I heard and recently joined some finance groups. I actually applied to Goldman for an analyst position thinking I can work my way up. I applied in May and then had my hirevue in June and have been under consideration since then. So I’m not sure what’s going on there.
I work in biotech ER not sure if you’re still looking to get into ER. I will say, if you have your PhD that will make your application more competitive. Maybe consider writing level 1 CFA at least as well
Yes of course! The only place I applied for the analyst role was Barclays because they don’t have associates.
