Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

They typically do not reply if you just said thank you. I’ve always asked a question, even if I know the answer, just to get them to reply and keep me top of mind, it’s served me well historically.
But if you don’t hear anything by Friday, I would reach out to the recruiter for a temperature check. It can be something simple, such as “Hello ABC Human, I hope that you are well. As you know, I met with BCD Manager last Wednesday, and I just wanted to follow up to see if you or BCD had any other questions for me. I look forward to partnering with you during the onboarding process. Thank you”
It kind of leads with the assumption that you already have the role and are just waiting for them to make the offer…
Thank you for your comment and sharing your thoughts. Your sample email is very thoughtful and helhful. Thank you very much :)
It’s normal to get no response to a thank you email. You thanked them. There shouldn’t be a need for a response
Thank you for your coment and sharing your thoughts :)
I wouldn’t worry too much just yet! Sometimes hiring managers get busy or don’t always respond to thank you emails. No response doesn’t necessarily mean rejection. Keep your head up, and maybe give it a little more time. In the meantime, don't stop applying to other opportunities.. that will keep your mind busy too!
Thank you for your comment and sharing your thoughts. I'll try my very best to keep my head up in this broken and unfair job market.
Ppl don't respond to thank you emails.
Thank you for your coment and sharing your thought :)
a thank you response or not doesn’t mean too much, wouldn’t look in to it too much, fingers crossed yo gas moved on to the next round!
Thank you for your comment and positive affirmation. It means a lot
I wouldn't read too much into that. The art of writing a thank you email is to keep it focused, just thank them and that's it. Don't ask anything or say anything that requires a response.
Thank you for your coment and sharing your thoughts :)
Don't worry about this. Keep interviewing. Only follow-up at most once a week or once every two weeks. Assume you can do better at the next opportunity and don't sweat it. The job market is terrible. The pendulum has swung in the employer's favor and they are taking advantage of it.
Thank you for your comment & sharing your thoughts. I keep interviewing. But for no apparent reasons, I get rejected. This has been the trend for me in the past one year. Like you said, the job market has been pretty awful and cruel. Thanks again for your comment.
I’ve never had a manager respond to my thank you email. Never
A thank you letter is great. But the worst part that these recruiters or hiring managers don’t respond or ghost you. They shall be more honest & transparency. .
It probably doesn't mean anything but I know it is difficult to not read into it. The lack of response may just be how this individual is. If lack of communication is going to drive you nuts though, it may be something to consider if you'd like to work for an individual like that. Just my two cents!
I always do this and never receive a response. Even for the jobs I do get. It's just common courtesy that we do it. With no response required
