Basic salary needs to be 40% of gross or 50% of total CTC. Wrong calculation, it has led lesser PF contribution from employee and employer side

75000*6(October 22 - March 23) = 450000. As per the info ur new company has, ur current salary YTD in new company is less than 5L and not taxable. Hence no tds.
However, there should be an option in ur current company to submit previous employment pay details in respective portal. Once u do, they'll statt deduction.
Yes, IT department has these details. So it's better to declare your prev salary to current organisation so that your TDS goes correctly, otherwise you will have to pay a lumpsum amount while filing ITR.
Is it only me who is getting this pay slip wrong? How can HRA be more than basic pay and why is the basic pay so low?
