I seriously need help with a situation I got stuck in. I moved to another city for my new job few months ago, in my office there was another team's lead, who fell for me. He is married already. We became normal friends at first but now hecis so much into me, due to all the stress, I left that company and moved back to my hometown. I came to know that he suffered a minor heart attack after I left, he stopped going to office too.

I feel like so much of the media discussion about people NOT going back to work is centered on POC. I have white coworkers just as frustrated. Is this just another example of how POC are having the authentic conversation no one else is willing to have?

not alcohol/drugs related but more so to do with p*rn addiction. i have struggled for years with this and I am currently making a lot of progress. I started to make real progress once I started telling people (fiance, counsellor, pastor, etc).

I really don't think it should just be considered a religious thing since it effects the brain a lot and can obviously hurt your relationship. Wanted to see if others also struggle with this and are open to sharing.

I know some of my colleagues are recording their standard fees as time so that it counts towards their billable hours. It infuriates me but am I just being naive by not doing the same?

What you should do when dealing with a very toxic worker that keep on sending passive aggressive messages to you as well as in group chat and email.

How to not let this toxic co-worker not poison me any further?

If an employee mentions something disparaging or accusatory about their manager during an exit interview, how would you handle? What happens if what the employee said is slanderous and a “he said/she said” situation? I.e. employee claimed the manager made a disparaging remark about an item of clothing being worn by someone in accordance with their beliefs. If you opt to share the feedback with the manager, would the manager have a legal case against the company or former employee?

A company didn’t follow through with a scheduled intro phone call. I emailed during the time scheduled to see if something had come up & after as well to reschedule. No one answered me or followed up. I can’t help but feel like this is a little red flag. If you can’t follow though on an intro call… what’s your HR & the rest of the company doing? 😬

I’m dealing with a difficult management situation and don’t know what to do, how would you report someone when nobody really cares what’s going on or is automatically going to side with the other person?

I am trying to write a stock letter to send to parents everyday that their child does not come to virtual learning sessions. I have been told by administration that even though I have spoken to parents and know why students are not coming to zoom classes, that we still need to contact them everytime they dont come. For some of my students this is everyday due to parent work schedules and disability issues.
Is anyone else having this trouble? What are you saying to parents to cover yourself?

Does anyone have family members who constantly demand money because they feel like you’re rich now because you’re a lawyer? I’ve always wanted to be in a position to help my family but we all live in the high COL city so my salary doesn’t carry me as far as it would elsewhere. I’ve given a detailed summary of all of my expenses yet every month one family member in particular comes to me for rent money (not some, the full amount, and they refuse to get a job). I work in Florida where the Parental Rights law concerning gender theory and sexuality in k-3 is currently being labeled the "Don't Say Gay Bill". I find it crazy that so many of my liberal coworkers, even in the social studies department haven't even read the bill and are just buying the low wholesale.
