I am feeling really nervous. I’m almost done with two weeks of training before being realized to our teams and I have never done AR in medical billing before. I feel kind of lost and we use MDIV. Is anyone in AR? Does it get better? I really wanted to be more prepared before seeing my team and future boss and they said it will be a learning curve (6 mos) but still 😑 help any advice pls?

Are there any good jobs out there that focus on researching equities, that somebody with an accounting background could slide into? What do those type of companies/jobs look like? If not, what skills should I be adding to make myself more qualified? Research gets my energy up more than client services - I am just sick of client service work. I would rather be doing research for the client if I’m going to stay in this line of work.

Anyone have tips on how to increase concentration while working? I find that ill do a few minutes of work and then look at my phone for a few minutes, then back to work, and the cycle continues throughout the day. Any ideas on how to stop checking my phone and just buckle down?

FTM - I’m just curious on how some of your maternity leave is set up. I received short term disability pay for 6 weeks and then paid from my job for 6 - they offered additional bonding time, but unpaid. The paid portion came from my “sick time.” I wasn’t sick, I was caring for and bonding with my son. That’s been bothering me since I returned. Now I don’t have any sick leave and any last minute time that I need to take is unpaid. Other countries give moms the entire year, 100% paid 🥴

Hello there! I currently work in billing at a medical office. I got my Bachelors in Psychology a few years ago but I couldn’t find a position that seemed like a good option for me that was well paying and fulfilling. I tried working as a tech at an Applied Behavior Analysis clinic but it wasn’t a good fit. I’m hesitant to try case management or social work because I worry I won’t like it but I want to use my degree in Psychology. Does anyone have any ideas for me?
