Recently I got an offer from cognizant as a mendix developer. So wanted to know little about the projects , culture and other stuffs. Can anyone plz help me with that.

I was in a meeting, and there was a new attendee, a fellow Asian guy.

Senior member: “Hi [new attendee’s name], where are you from?”

New attendee: “from [city and state]”

Senior member: “No, where are you reeeeaaaallllyyy from?”

Hi All. I am currently working in Oracle as QA analyst 2. I have 3.4 years of experience. Oracle has great wlb but the techstack is Robot Framework and my domain is telecom. I don’t see myself working in telecom for a longer run. I want to work with api and ui more. Recently recieved an offer for Sr QA engineer at Paytm. How’s paytm considering wlb and work culture. Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.

I have been selected for senior engineer role at nagarro. I was hired for Full stack role (MEAN Stack). My joining is next month - Nov. How long is too long to try to push back a start date? Getting a formal offer early next week but trying to keep that big law bonus if possible. Firm pays out bonuses Dec 30 & I have a vacation scheduled Dec 19-23 (and was planning on working remotely the week after too). Ideally want to get EOY bonus or negotiate for a signing bonus but is it too much to push for signing bonus and those weeks off? I'm open to working remotely those two weeks but know that may not be the best when I start.

48/M, average health. Few weeks ago I had a seizure out of the blue. First time ever, no family history. At the hospital given lots of tests: MRI, CT, EKG, EEG, blood/urine/COVID tests. Everything came back normal. Since hospital discharge I’ve seen cardiologist and wore halter monitor for a week. All good. Have neurologist appointment next month but afraid no one knows why this happened. In the meantime no one wants me to drive a car. Can this happen again? Can anyone relate to this situation?

How do you start waking up early? Always been a night owl and sleep around 1. Wake up at 8/8:30 right before work starts.
I need to start waking up early to get into workout /yoga and meditation routine. I tried today and kept snoozing my alarm for 2 hours.
