Hi! Does anyone know if the FBI actually tries to price match your current salary if you get hired?

I have a experience of 3 yrs as a Quality Analyst and 1.5 yrs as a Business Analyst. Also I am about to complete a PG program in Data Science and Business Analytics and now I'm seeking opportunities as a Data Analyst. CTC in my previous job was 5.3lakhs.
How much CTC should I expect in my switch as a Data Analyst or rather according to the market standards what should an ideal CTC be for a person with my experience.

I am currently in staff 3 and will be promoted to senior post October.


Currently I am in the lower side of package 5.5 LPA So, can I expect more hike as i am alredy in the lower packege?

Booz Allen does not pay bonuses until you get to the Senior Associate level (1 step below Director) and I think that impacts employee performance and work ethic pretty dramatically. I’m wondering if not paying bonuses is common to federal contracting because of how the contracts or priced, or if this is something unique to Booz Allen.

I got a job offer as a Tax Associate at PwC. I want to negotiate the salary but the HR said he cant just increase my salary since that would be unfair to other associates. The only thing he can do is to ask to compensation team and if the team approve, every in-coming associates would get a salary increase. Is that true?

I’m convinced that the reason some of these firms are so prestigious is because they have intentionally exclusionary recruitment practices. Anyone else having trouble finding free fraud based CPE trainings? My job does not pay for these things so I wasnt sure if anyone else had a solution or source. I need 4 more hours of fraud based CPE and havent found much on ACFE or AICPA that I can use. Ive joined a local CFE chapter but not much is going on with it.

So far, I understand that there are client-serving firms like FTI and then the B4 will have forensics arms as well. What are some other forensic accounting roles? Pros and cons? Better than audit? What can I expect if I jump ship as a first year manager?

I accepted a new job, they said PTO was “generous.” I find out it’s 19 days a year of PTO (which includes sick days). I have two young children and we like to vacation 1-2x a year (no more than a few days away each time). Am I crazy that this is pretty limited time off? 8 of the normal holidays off during the year (working the week between Christmas and NYE). Thoughts? I dont know if lack of PTO is a good reason to back out, is it?

Would it be best for me to accept an offer in Forensics at a much smaller firm (local, 150ish total employees) to gain experience and then try to move to B4 Forensics? Or should I stay in Audit and wait for B4 Forensics positions to open up? Please let me know your thoughts!
