Hi Everyone. I recently got an interview invite from Microsoft for a principal product manager role on the Microsoft Shopping / Commerce team. This is the initial phone screen with hiring manager and not the full loop.

Would anyone who has interviewed for a similar PM role at Microsoft be willing to share what the phone screen usually focuses on? For example, is it more around product sense, execution, strategy, stakeholder management, commerce domain knowledge, or leadership depth?

What are good exit opportunities or things to move onto after becoming CRA?

I have recently left Big 4 Consulting few months ago (5+ YOE) and joined a boutique. I am not enjoying my role here - is it bad to leave after 6 months?

HR is scheduling the interviews without checking time with me. One interview was scheduled and then it was rescheduled to a different time at last minute. I'm currently on £60k at a start up. Just got offered a job at a games company with a salary of £50k + 15% bonus 😖 I immediately spoke to them and told them that is way below my current salary and they raised to £56k + 15% bonus which would put me on £64.4k total comp. I've said I'll think about it and hope they raise the offer again.
Should I not consider this at all if they don't at least match my base? I have been aiming for £70k-£80k when looking at new jobs

I owned a business for 6 yrs and had a B2C sales role for 3 yrs after (not SaaS). I’ve now been a B2B2C Key Account Manager at a Fitness Tech scale up for 6 mos and would like to be making more $ so am considering applying to other B2B SaaS companies. Hi everyone. I’m a front end software engineer. I’m interviewing next week for a solutions engineer at a company I really like, which I mistakenly applied for as I saw they needed ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML/CSS. Upon reading the job description, it’s clear I will be doing a lot of sales and client consulting over actually coding. I know they have a FE SWE role open. How would you approach asking the recruiter if there are any SWE openings I could be considered for instead ?

I’m currently a Grade 11 at Cisco. With the recent pay structure changes my annual comp will be $150k + 12% bonus. I live in a large metro area in the middle of the US. I’m looking to move around the company so that I can make commission but I don’t want to be an account manager. Can anyone tell me if there are Customer Success Managers, etc positions that manage customers post sale and have a similar range base as me with commission plans? I’m just trying to understand income potential.

Started at a big firm in July with high hopes- in the career path I wanted and I would be joining with other new grads.
After onboarding, it’s as if my team forgets about us every day. The training is non existent, there doesn’t seem to be any initiative to invest in new hires, my manager scolds me for not knowing enough yet gives no direction. I don’t want to waste time (colleagues mentioned it doesn’t get much better from here). Do I embrace the suck or look for other opportunities?
