Hi everyone! I was hoping I could get some advice and maybe a few pointers for getting my foot in the door with portfolio management. Does anyone know a good company that is more likely to accept entry level portfolio managers with 0-2 year’s experience? I current work in operations at an investment bank and have been in the financial services industry for about 4 years. Im also pursuing my MBA and plan to graduate next year. Is a few years in the industry plus a MBA degree enough on a resume?

For the past 25+ years, I've been a devops engineer, cloud architect and team lead on many projects. I would like to make a career move into IT Management (i.e. DevOps Manager, Director of Cloud Ops, etc.). I am asked during this RE analyst interview to build a real estate model from scratch. My background is commercial banking and I am used to analyzing real estate deals from the lender side not the developer. The interviewer is generous I must say he’s giving me a few days to complete. However this model is for a ground up multifamily development. I have no prior experience building one. I can find models online but all very complexe to reproduce. How would you handle? Do you have model to share?
