Hi everyone, I'm a 25 y/o Marine Officer with about 10 months left before I transition out of the military and into the next chapter. I'm very interested in getting into tech or medical sales. Is anyone willing to hop on a call and discuss their experience, give any tips/guidance? Appreciate it!

Look up Shift Group on LinkedIn and contact them. Excellent company that specializes in helping people transition from a life in military or sports (college or pro) into a sales career. They focus mostly, if not solely on tech I believe.

Thank you for your service. Truly. I know some people hate that but my dads a vet.
Medical sales especially orthopedic can be great for you. But without some experience it can be tough. I have a couple of companies that are top 100 best places to work that focus on veterans. Let me know if I can be any help. A man serving our country deserves the best support

Hoorah Marine. Seabee here. Be mentally prepared for the industry. Transition from The Corps to a sales environment is very stressful. No doubt in my mind that you'll excel.. Keep in mind one thing... Knife hands are frowned upon in the corporate structure!! 😅 In all seriousness, grkilgorejr@gmail.com is my email. Reach out if you need a mentor.

Looking for some advice on a career change. I work in a technical role and have well-developed soft skills. I want to transition to UX (w/ focus on accessibility). There are a lot of UX educational programs out there, some very new, e.g. Dribbble, and costs are all over the place - General Assembly is $15k (and full-time), CareerFoundry almost $8k, and then many others at a fraction of the price. Reviews also vary wildly. Are these more expensive programs worth the huge increase in cost?

Hi fishes,
I need your valuable suggestions from your rich experience

I am going switch my tech into Java development. I am having around 2 yrs of experience in Database.

What are the skills you expect from 2 yoe java developer, which skills I should focus more so transition won't seem too hard.

Note: I am going to join as experienced guy only

please give me your suggestion. It will help me a lot to work and gain those skills now only before switching.

Thanks a lot.

Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.

I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to
Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.

The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.

Thoughts?
