So I work for a small company as a SEM/Director… which in my world just means I am really Lead Developer, Part BA and part product owner as well as reviewing the devs. I came up in this company starting at about SE3 of 5 so the position is just kind of what I made it. Thoughts on switching between healthcare provider consulting and life science/pharma consultant

I am a business development manager in a small biotech incubator. My end goal is to work in commercial, BD or operations within a big pharma/biotech company. What would be best for me:

1) stay in my company to quickly become BD Director and then exit (however my learning opportunities within my current company might be limited)
2) go do consulting for a few years
3) any other recommendations?

Can someone explain the difference between FB’s Partner Solutions Manager and the Strategic Partner Manager? From an initial recruiter call, it seems the SPM provides the consultative product recs while the PSM onboards the client onto that product and tracks performance to provide actionable recs as needed. Anyone know career growth and salary for these two? I don’t want a sales heavy/only lateral growth role like their client solutions manager roles so these seem like good compromises?
